Latest Update

In the latest version of 9 Dayz a range of new crafting recipes are available: Rope, Bone Hook, Improvised Whip, Fishing Rod and Barricades.

All new weapons inherit the already existing concepts (improving attack and defense values, repairing). For each new item there is a dedicated page in the Almanac.

The crafting dialog now offers a prev/next navigation to make room for the new recipes.

Previous Update

Players can find beehives and harvest honey. However, they first have to deal with the owners - who have no sympathy for being robbed of the fruits of their hard work.

9 Dayz is a harsh und unforgiving survival game. Every action you take and every decision you make count – either instantly or in a longer term. This is not a game you can just rush into.

If you are a new player, please make sure to prepare yourself by choosing the tutorial option.

Your character will continuously walk on the edge of the abyss, and his death is almost inevitable during your first attempts. Despair, good and bad luck, relief and finally the successful escape are all part of the many experiences and feelings you will have in the following 9 Dayz.

My dearest, I hope this letter reaches you.

Our world is broken by this terrible virus and the end is near. We will escape with one of the last ships to a secret and safe place.

However, time is running out. I beg you, try to be at the pier in Haling Cove in 9 Days at the latest. That's the little town on the river, north of our home, which now no longer exists.

Please hurry, the ship can't wait any longer!

Time to go!

You win the game!

Congratulations for getting that far!

The ship will bring you to safety now.

Zombies Turn

Day 1

Tutorial - Fighting Enemies

When your character Attacks a zombie, other zombies in that area will join the battle. Avoid fighting against more than one Zombie in the beginning!

There is no need to hurry here - during battles the in-game time is paused.

Lure single zombies into a fight (chance is 50:50), to make the battle easier. Zombies will attack you first, when you walk right into them.

Once the battle starts, all your inventory items turn into a Battle Card deck. Each item now has orange Damage and blue Protection values. Make sure you have enough items at hand before starting a fight.

Drag a Card over a Zombie to deal damage and to shield yourself. Each action consumes one Action Point. Items will permanently be removed from your inventory so choose them wisely. Each time a weapon deals damage, its durability gets reduced. You can improve and repair your equiped weapons outside of battles.

Got it!
